Tucker Carlson has undergone a dramatic and troubling shift, leaving many Christians questioning what happened to the commentator they once trusted. In recent months Tucker Carlson has not only attacked Christians who support Israel, but he has also aligned himself with some of the most vicious antisemites in public life. His rhetoric, his associations, and his silence in the face of open hatred all point to a man who has drifted to the dark side, spiritually and morally.

Tucker Carlson’s Hostility Toward Pro-Israel Christians

Carlson now says he dislikes Christians who support Israel “more than anyone else.” He even declared that Christians who love Israel suffer from a “brain virus,” a line so outrageous he later apologized for it. The apology, however, does not erase the concern. When someone grows hostile toward believers whose support for Israel is grounded in Scripture, prophecy, and God’s covenant, something deeper is going on.

This growing hostility was on full display when Carlson interviewed Senator Ted Cruz. Carlson set a clear trap, pressing Cruz with exaggerated accusations and mocking him for supporting Israel. Instead of engaging in an honest policy discussion, he ridiculed Cruz for standing with America’s closest ally and implied that such loyalty was somehow corrupt or un-American. Carlson’s sneering tone, his interruptions, and his leading questions revealed a man eager to embarrass a Christian senator simply because he supported Israel. It was not journalism. It was hostility. And it showed that Carlson’s problem is not with policy differences. His problem is with Christians who love Israel.

Platforming Nick Fuentes: A Line Crossed

Carlson recently hosted Nick Fuentes, a man already infamous for praising Hitler and spewing hatred against the Jewish people. Long before appearing with Tucker, Fuentes had unleashed vile tirades against Jews, such as, “You unlikeable, despicable pieces of !@#@! why don’t you get the !@#@! out of America and go to Israel which we all know you love so much; do us all a favor!” In another rage-filled rant he shouted, “We know what you are! You don’t care about us. You don’t care about this country. You don’t respect this place. During his interview with Tucker Carlson, Fuentes continued his attacks, claiming that Israel, neocons, and American foreign policy are all inseparable from “Jewishness.” Instead of challenging this, Tucker reinforced the hostility by adding his own comment: “Christian Zionists — like what is that? I dislike them more than anybody because it’s Christian heresy and I’m offended by that as a Christian.” By echoing Fuentes’ contempt for Christians who support Israel and offering almost no pushback to Fuentes’ antisemitic claims, Carlson placed himself in clear alignment with Fuentes’ rabid hatred toward the Jewish people.

These aren’t mere political positions. They are expressions of hatred that echo the worst ideologies of the last century. During the interview, Fuentes spewed unfiltered hostility against the Jewish people. Carlson did little to challenge or correct him. Lawyers often quote the Latin maxim “Qui tacet consentit,” meaning, “He who is silent is taken to consent.” Tucker’s refusal to confront such vile statements amounts to endorsement. It shows a willingness to tolerate, even normalize, evil.

Tucker Carlson: A Christian in Name Only

Carlson frequently claims a Christian identity, yet his behavior does not reflect the fruit of the Spirit. He tosses out the F-word as casually as though it were Halloween candy. Scripture teaches that a transformed heart shows itself in speech and conduct. The absence of such fruit is telling. Without the Holy Spirit’s indwelling power, a man becomes vulnerable to deception. The Bible warns that the god of this world blinds the minds of the unbelieving, drawing them into hostility toward God’s people. Carlson’s trajectory fits that pattern.

A Spiritual Descent, Not a Political One

History shows what happens when individuals or nations turn against the Jewish people. From Hitler’s self-destruction in a bunker while Germany burned to the collapse of regimes built on antisemitism, God’s warnings have played out again and again. Those who bless Israel are blessed. Those who curse Israel walk into judgment.

Tucker Carlson once defended truth. Now he derides Christians who support Israel, mocks senators who stand with Israel, promotes voices steeped in antisemitism, and stays silent while a Hitler-praising anti-Semite spews his vitriol on his program. This is not enlightenment. It is a spiritual descent. Christians should pray for him, but they must also recognize what has happened. A man who sides with those who hate God’s chosen people stands in a dangerous place, both historically and spiritually.
