The Seventh Day Adventist Cult — known officially as the Seventh-day Adventist Church — was formally organized in 1863 under the influence of Ellen G. White. Seventh Day Adventist cult teaching exalts White as a prophet, introduces extra-biblical doctrines (notably the Investigative Judgment), and ties acceptance with God to Saturday sabbath-keeping. The result is a works-based system that contradicts the gospel of grace.

Ellen G. White’s Authority
White is upheld as “the Lord’s messenger,” and in practice her writings function as a second Bible. Scripture is read through White; pastors and teachers are expected to interpret the Bible in line with her testimonies. Where the plain sense of Scripture appears to conflict, White’s word settles the matter — elevating her authority over the Bible in practice, even when this is denied in theory.
Investigative Judgment
This uniquely Adventist doctrine introduces an ongoing heavenly review that weighs believers’ lives to determine salvation based upon works. It shifts assurance from Christ’s finished work to personal performance, keeping people anxious and unsure they have “done enough.”
Sabbath Keeping and Legalism
Loyalty to God is tied to Saturday observance, often with warnings about Sunday worship. Making sabbath-keeping a condition of acceptance turns the gospel into law and loads believers with guilt and fear, or makes sinful adventists think they are spiritually fit simply by attending church on Saturday.
The Gospel of Grace
Scripture centers salvation on Christ alone by grace through faith. Any doctrine that adds human works — even sabbath-keeping — moves trust from the cross to ourselves.
