The UK Turns on Israel

The United Kingdom has taken its place among the nations aligned against the Israel of God. A country that once stood with the Jewish people is now using its government to pressure, isolate, and economically punish them, and other Western nations are following the same path. This is more than a policy shift. It is a spiritual alignment, and the Word of God has already warned what becomes of nations that set themselves against the people He chose. Unless the good people of the United Kingdom are able to elect a godly government that reverses this course, their nation’s hostility toward Israel will ultimately bring a blight and a curse upon their land.

What the UK Did

UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband announced an import ban on goods from Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria. London will also target companies and individuals who finance, build, or advertise those communities. The UK government now officially declares Israel’s presence there “unlawful”—as though Britain had any right to declare what Israel can or cannot do in its own country. Miliband accused Jewish settlers of “ethnic cleansing” and treated that slander as fact. He told Parliament that the British people should not “support the occupation” by allowing products from those towns into their shops, and he called the Jewish communities an obstacle to a two-state solution. France and Canada said they will join the import ban. Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and others pledged support or similar measures.

Israel answered. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar called the ethnic-cleansing charge “outrageous lies.” With Prime Minister Netanyahu’s agreement, Israel will close the British consulate in Jerusalem, remove British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat, end British training of Palestinian Authority forces in Ramallah, and deny entry to twelve British officials and nationals involved in antisemitic and anti-Israel activity, including those who deny Israel’s right to exist. U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee has said America will also respond to the UK’s action. It should. Silence in the face of this unfair pressure is not neutrality.

Vice President J.D. Vance has already told Europe that its relationship with the United States rests on more than treaties and military cooperation. At the Munich Security Conference in 2025 he warned of “the retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values—values shared with the United States of America,” and said that if those governments will not stand by the convictions that once bound the alliance, “there is nothing America can do for you.” The UK’s attack on Israel raises that question again. America stands with the Jewish state, as does biblical Christinaity. The United Kingdom has joined the campaign to isolate and punish Israel. A nation that slanders Jews in Judea and Samaria and calls that justice does not share the values that once made the alliance possible. If London continues on this course, it should not be surprised when the old relationship with Washington is no longer what it was.

The Charge Is a Lie

The United Kingdom speaks as if Judea and Samaria were stolen Palestinian land, and as if Jews living there were committing ethnic cleansing or even genocide. Both claims are false. That land is part of Israel, and the Word of God says so. The Lord promised it to Abraham as an everlasting possession (Genesis 13:14–17; 15:18–21; 17:7–8). He repeated the grant to Isaac and Jacob (Genesis 26:3–4; 28:13–15; 35:12). He told Israel to take the hill country and dwell there (Deuteronomy 1:7–8; Joshua 1:2–4). Jeremiah spoke of vineyards planted on the mountains of Samaria (Jeremiah 31:5). Ezekiel prophesied to the mountains of Israel that the people would come home and the waste places would be rebuilt (Ezekiel 36:1–12). God warned the nations against dividing that land (Joel 3:2).

Yes, some Jews have committed crimes against Arabs, but that is a tiny minority among hundreds of thousands of Israelis in Judea and Samaria who live peacefully alongside Arabs. Israel has strongly condemned those crimes and has made arrests where possible. That is not genocide. Genocide is what Hamas named as its goal and carried out on October 7. And the United Kingdom is not merely targeting that handful of criminals. It is targeting Jews for living in the land God gave them.

Judea and Samaria are not a British file labeled “occupied territory.” They are the heartland of the nation God named Israel. Abraham walked there. Joshua conquered there. Shiloh was Israel’s capital for centuries. David made Jerusalem the capital of the nation God chose. The prophets said the Jewish people would return, plant vineyards, and rebuild cities in that land, and hundreds of thousands of Jews living there today are living inside that promise.

The UK is pretending that a Palestinian state already has a moral claim on that ground, or that one must be carved out of Israel to satisfy international opinion. After crushing the Bar Kokhba revolt in the second century, the Roman emperor Hadrian renamed the land of Israel Syria Palaestina, taking the name from the Philistines, Israel’s ancient enemy. It was a deliberate insult: erase the Jewish name of the land so the Jews would no longer be identified with their own country. “Palestine” did not come from an Arab state. It was a Roman punishment. God has not allowed that outrage to stand. The fact is there is no Palestine. There never has been, nor shall there ever be. Even the Arabs in the land never historically identified themselves as a separate Palestinian nation. That identity was forged as a political weapon against the existence of Israel.

Whether such a state should be created out of Israel’s land is not London’s business. That would be up to Israel. If the United Kingdom wishes to carve a “Palestine” out of its own territory, it is free to do so. To carve up someone else’s nation is hubris and wickedness and to divide up the land which God permanently gave to Israel is rebellion against the Lord.

The two-state idea has already had a trial run. In 2005 Israel withdrew completely from Gaza. Hamas turned the territory into a base for rockets and then into the massacre of October 7. That slaughter did not happen because Palestinians lacked a state. It happened because they had one. The Arabs do not want a Palestine beside Israel. They want to destroy Israel, kill the Jews, and rename the whole land Palestine. It is all part of Satan’s ancient war against Israel, a demonic conspiracy that gullible nations are being seduced to take part in.

The press is part of the lie. HonestReporting studied 77 outlets from January through July 2026 and found 984 articles on so-called settler violence and only nine articles on Palestinian terrorism against Jews in the same territory—even though Palestinian violence against Jews is far greater, not less. That is not balanced reporting. It is a campaign, and the United Kingdom has turned that campaign into government policy.

Why This Will Not End Well for the UK

God has already spoken to this issue. “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3). Through Joel He said, “I will gather all nations… and I will enter into judgment with them there on behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; and they have divided up My land” (Joel 3:2). The UK is dividing the land by policy. It is treating Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria as contraband. That is cursing what God has blessed.

History confirms the warning. Egypt enslaved Israel and was judged. Amalek attacked Israel and disappeared. The Philistines, Canaanites, Edomites, Moabites, and Ammonites opposed God’s people and are gone. Nazi Germany tried to wipe out the Jews and was destroyed. Nations that curse Israel and spread antisemitic lies injure themselves on the stone God said He would make Jerusalem to be (Zechariah 12:3). A government that aligns against Israel aligns against the God of Israel and against Christ, the Jewish Messiah. “Salvation is from the Jews” (John 4:22). To spit on the root is to despise the fruit.

From the Mosque to the Parliament

For decades the loudest calls to erase Israel came from Islamic regimes, and that hostility has not stopped. What has changed is the West. The United Kingdom, France, Canada, and a list of European governments are now using trade and official language to squeeze Jews out of their ancient homeland in the name of a Palestinian state that Palestinian leadership has never accepted as a final peace. These nations once had a stronger Christian inheritance. As they have rejected biblical Christianity, they have grown hostile to the people through whom the Bible and the Messiah came. It used to be the mosque that preached Israel’s destruction. Now Western parliaments join the pressure. That shift itself is a sign of the times—the end times.

A Prelude to the Last Days

Scripture says that after the church is taken, during the Tribulation, all nations will gather against Jerusalem. “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves” (Zechariah 12:3). “I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it” (Zechariah 14:2). Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe a vast coalition coming against the land of Israel in the latter days.

What we are watching now is not that final war. It is a prelude. It is the same spirit taking political form: isolation, economic punishment, media slander, and the claim that Jews in Judea and Samaria are the obstacle to peace. The two-state project is being used as a wedge. After October 7, Israelis who once hoped for coexistence have little appetite for another Gaza on the high ground above their cities. Palestinian Media Watch has documented for years that official Palestinian messaging aims not at two states living side by side, but at one state after the Jewish state is gone. Western governments ignore that record and punish Jews instead.

Just 80 years after Hitler’s regime was destroyed, nations are again taking up the Nazi cause of harming the Jewish people. The United Kingdom and other nations are using slander and sanctions to punish Jews for living in their own land. The method changed. The target did not. The UK is not building death camps, but its policy is helping Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and the Houthis—the people who are already slaughtering as many Jews as they can. This course will not produce peace. It will draw more nations into the same posture until the coalition the prophets described is complete.

Christ Will Settle It

The last word will not be spoken in London. When Jesus returns, His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, and He will fight the nations that came against Jerusalem. Zechariah 14 describes judgment on those armies. Revelation 19 shows the Rider on the white horse striking the nations. Romans 11 says all Israel will be saved. The Messiah they rejected will be the King who delivers them. Until that day, God’s curse already rests on the project of cursing Israel. A nation can pass a sanctions bill. It cannot repeal Genesis 12:3.

Which Side Are You On?

The United Kingdom has chosen. France and Canada have chosen. A growing list of Western governments have chosen. Individuals choose as well. Those who repeat the slander of ethnic cleansing, who treat Jewish life in Judea and Samaria as the crime, and who demand that Israel surrender the heartland for a state whose leaders still chant “from the river to the sea” and “death to Israel,” are not standing with justice. They are standing with the spirit that has hunted the Jews from Pharaoh to Hitler to Hamas.

Stand with Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Do not be bullied by a dishonest press or by governments that have forgotten the God of Abraham. When Christ returns, Scripture says, “Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations” that are attacking Israel (Zechariah 14:3). Of those armies it is written: “And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths” (Zechariah 14:12). The nations that turn on God’s chosen people will not have the last word. Jesus Christ will.
