Homosexuality and the Bible cannot be reconciled, and transgender ideology is equally condemned as a denial of God’s created order. Yet many churches and leaders are now calling sin acceptable. The Christian View of Homosexuality and Transgenderism
Scripture is clear. Genesis declares, “Male and female He created them.” Romans chapter one warns of men and women exchanging natural relations for those that are against nature. Deuteronomy forbids cross-dressing. Corinthians condemns effeminate men who seek to live as women, and 1 Corinthians 6:9 says plainly that homosexuals and transgenders will not inherit the kingdom of God. The Christian view of homosexuality and transgenderism has not changed with the times: both are sin.
Lies About Being “Born This Way”
The modern claim that people are “born this way” is nothing more than an excuse to continue in sin. The Bible says that all people are tempted, but God always provides a way of escape. Homosexuality and transgenderism are not biological inevitabilities but willful rebellion. There is no scientific proof that anyone is destined by nature to live this way; instead, people choose to follow temptation rather than resist it. To justify sin with talk of genetics is to fight against the work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin and calls all to repentance.
Homosexuality in Scripture
Homosexuality in Scripture is always denounced. From Leviticus to Timothy to Jude, the message is consistent: homosexual practice is sin, and those who continue in it without repentance will face God’s judgment. The same is true of transgender behavior. Dressing and behaving as the opposite sex is sin, rooted in demonic deception and celebrated in today’s drag culture. This is not merely fashion or freedom of expression—it is rebellion against God.
Hope for the Homosexual and Transgender
Yet there is hope. Paul told the Corinthians that some of them once lived in these sins, but they were washed, sanctified, and justified by the Spirit of God. The Bible that condemns homosexuality is also the Bible that offers freedom in Christ. Transgenders and homosexuals can be delivered. Christianity and homosexuality may be opposed, but Christianity brings the cure—new life through Jesus Christ.
Homosexuality and the Bible Cannot Be Reconciled
In the end, the truth is simple. Homosexuality and the Bible cannot be reconciled. The Bible says about homosexuality and transgenderism exactly what it has always said: both are sin, both lead to judgment, and both can be forgiven through repentance and faith in Christ. These articles exist to help Christians hold fast to that truth, to withstand the flood of deception, and to proclaim that Jesus still saves, even in a culture that celebrates sin.
